INTABA-INDLE EXCLUSIVE WILDERNESS ESTATE

Game Management at Intaba-Indle

GAME MANAGEMENT

Intaba-Indle considers its diversity of free ranging game an absolute blessing. For this reason, we conduct annual Ecological Impact Studies to determine the farm’s carrying capacity and which, if any, feeding supplements to consider.  For this purpose, we’ve consulted with two Game Capture Groups as well as two senior Veterinary Surgeons in the Game Industry for specific advice towards disease control and selection of species endemic to the Bela-Bela area.

The farm hosts a variety of plains game like Giraffe, Kudu, Zebra, Golden Wildebeest, Blue Wildebeest, Sable, Waterbuck, Blesbok, Impala, Nyala, Bushbuck, Duiker and Warthog as well as various predators and raptors.  Occasionally we are privileged to even spot a visiting Leopard.

Fishing enthusiasts are very excited to try their luck on the dam where they may find Bass, Kurpers & barbel

GAME RELOCATION

The carrying capacity is controlled annually by live capture and relocation.  In 2021 a wide range of game was captured and successfully relocated.  Please have a look at the videos and pictures to share in this project!  We’ve just started the 2022 capture process and it is again proving to be very successful with minimum disturbance to the farm, the residents and ultimately the game.
